nternational Children Centre “Artek” is a recreation establishment where children are given an opportunity to strengthen their health, to participate in sports competitions and in many learning and entertaining programs, to acquire experience of public work and communicating with their peers from different ountries of the world.

Purchase of admission permits and sending children to ICC “Artek” is carried out by committees on family and youth, various organizations, firms, “Artek’s” representative offices, dealers and private persons.

Children of 10 to 15 years of age (inclusive) can attend ICC “Artek” (nine-year olds can attend during summer period from June to September). Children are admitted after payment is completed. Payment can be carried out both in cash and through a bank. Before departing to the Centre, children must undergo a profound medical examination at home. Upon arrival to “Artek”, a child presents the the medical card and an officially certified copy of a Certificate of birth or a passport. All children undergo a medical control upon arrival to “Artek”. Those who cannot stay in “Artek” due to certain health problems, as well as children who do not have medical cards and admission permits, will be sent back with accompanying adults at the expense of organizations which sent the children to “Artek”. A note will be sent to medical institutions that had filled the medical card.

Children going to “Artek” must have:

• Two pairs of footwear appropriate for the season (warm and waterproof from October to April);
• slippers;
• sports footwear;
• bathing and sports suits;
• tooth-brush, soap, hairbrush;
• handkerchiefs;
• socks (not less than three pairs).

Organizations purchased admission permits must provide the groups of children sent to “Artek” with accompanying adults. The accompanying persons bear full responsibility for life and health of children during the travel and during stay at “Artek”" Hotel in Simferopol until sending children to and after their return from ICC “Artek”.

On arrival to “Artek” Hotel in Simferopol, group accompanying persons must have the following documents:

1. Three copies of the lists of children (stay in “Artek” — example).
2. The prepared admission permits (certified by an organization’s seal).
3. Medical cards.
4. Officially certified copies of Certificates of Birth or passports for each child (certified with an organization’s seal).

“Artek” does not provide return tickets.

ICC “Artek” accepts children strictly within the terms specified in the admission permit. For those children who arrived to Simferopol on time, ICC "Artek" provides reception, delivery to the camp, meals and overnight stay in “Artek” Hotel in Simferopol upon need. Check-in time is 24:00.

The information on the date of arrival, air flight or train number, number of the train car and the exact quantity of children has to be sent to "Artek" 10 days prior to arrival. The same information has to be sent to “Artek” seven days prior to departure from “Artek” to Simferopol to the address:

ICC “Artek” provides accommodation for accompanying persons in Simferopol (for cash).

Children under 10 years old (9 in summer season) and over 16* years old are not accepted in “Artek”. They will be sent back home with accompanying persons at the expense of organizations which sent them to “Artek”.

In case if a child becomes ill, “Artek” provides him (her) with meals and medical treatment until recovery regardless of the shift termination date. The time for sending the child back home after recovery is coordinated with the organization which had sent the child to ICC “Artek” and the parents. If a child departs from “Artek” before the sessions’ end, the sum of money remaining from the total cost of the admission permit is not subject to return.

Accompanying persons of children groups must arrive to “Artek” Hotel in Simferopol not later than one day prior to departure of children from the camp, and should be registered at the reception (room 11, 1st floor).

During stay in “Artek” children are provided with uniforms according to the season (except for underwear, footwear and hats).

ICC “Artek” ensures safety of belongings handed over to the baggage room available at each camp. Children can visit the baggage rooms during a day.

Children are not allowed to use personal mobile phones in ICC “Artek”. If this rule is disregarded, the Centre does not bear responsibility for the safety of mobile phones.

Money brought by children is checked in the cash department on the personal account of the child, and are given out upon their requirement. The sum of money children bring to “Artek” should be determined by parents based on the projected expenses for photographing, purchase of souvenirs, visiting children's cafes and the return journey.

During the academic year children study at “Artek’s” school 5 days a week without the need to do homework. At this period children should bring note books and pens. Children from national schools are advised to bring textbooks on basic subjects and foreign language.

Children are sent to certain camps of “Artek” according to the schedule of arrival in view of each camp’s filling.
